Daniel, owner of Herbs, Etc. has been a practicing herbalist since 1976. Born in French Canada, he relocated to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1979. There he furthered his studies in medical herbalism, pharmacognosy and related subjects at the Santa Fe College of Natural Medicine, the College of Santa Fe and the College of Pharmacy at the University of New Mexico.

His passion for helping others was born out of his own childhood health problems. His experience with conventional medical treatment of eczema, asthma and allergies motivated him to seek gentler, more soothing healing modalities, which ultimately put him on the path to becoming an herbalist. His goal is to educate both the public and the medical profession about the practical, healing applications of herbal medicine.

Healthcare rofessionals such as medical doctors, naturopaths, chiropractors and acupuncturists frequently call upon Daniel as an herbal consultant. He is the co-author of Breathe Free, a nutritional and herbal care book for the respiratory system; and the author of Healing Herbs for the Nervous System.

Asa teacher, Daniel shines due to his charisma and ability to relate the information in a “story telling” and engaging manner. He regularly teaches seminars and classes on herbal therapeutics, both nationally and internationally. He is senior professor of Materia Medica at the North American College of Botanical Medicine. The College, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, offers a three-year herbalist training program.
